What is your attachment style?

Audience: Patients at Brightly Mental Health Clinic

My Role: Instructional design (action mapping, storyboarding, mockups, prototype, full build), visual design, eLearning development.

Tools Used: Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise 360, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Stock, Figma

My design process

Action Mapping

I collaborated with licensed therapists at Brightly Mental Health Clinic to create an action plan and set a goal for this project. We determined that progress would be measured by comparing patients' knowledge of attachment theory during previous sessions to their understanding after the educational material is presented. We then decided the key takeaways about attachment theory that will benefit patients in their therapy sessions.

Text Storyboard

Beginning with an understanding of attachment theory, I worked closely with professional therapists to validate and refine the content, ensuring its accuracy. The course then progresses through each attachment style, providing insights and practical scenarios. It was important to empower learners to gain an understanding of their own attachment patterns.

Visual Mockups

For the visual mockup process, I used Figma as my primary tool, using it to create a visual storyboard that mapped out the course flow. This allowed me to visualize the user experience and the design elements. Next, I carefully selected color palette to establish a consistent visual identity for the entire course. I made the choice to assign a distinct color palette to each attachment style.

Attachment Style Quiz

I used Articulate Storyline to create an engaging and interactive learning experience. I created the quiz to determine each participant's attachment style based on their responses by using Storyline's variable capabilities. This personalized feedback encourages a deeper understanding of how attachment theory relates to individual experiences and relationships as they move forward in the course.
